Poster Session Guide for the NeuroLeadership Summit 2009
We have received many emails from participants interested in presenting at the Summit 2009. This summit has a very specific design, with all keynotes and breakouts presented by neuroscientists, or neuroscientists in collaboration with leadership people. Where a case study is being presented, it's being presented by someone from an organization.
We do recognize that there are some great case studies that deserve to be shared, and have created two forums for this in 2009 based on feedback from previous years
On day one during the afternoon Connecting Time session there will be an opportunity for people to put up Posters that describe their case. These are similar conceptually to research symposium poster sessions, where someone puts up a study and stands by it for people to come and discuss at allocated times. It's an efficient way of allowing a lot of people to share their ideas and learn from each other.
On day two, there is a 'Practioner Connection Time' allocated, which is specifically for practitioners to share ideas with each other.
We think that these two forums provide a great outlet for people who want to tell their story, and we have seen lots of great stories that deserve to be told at these events, about the use of the research and various initiatives that are underway.
Preparing and Submitting a Poster for ApprovalThere are many online resources with guides to preparing a poster for these sessions, one of these is http://www.personal.psu.edu/drs18/postershow/.
