Post Graduate Certificate in the Neuroscience of LeadershipNext Intake March 2012 Announcing the first ever offering of a Post Graduate Certificate in the Neuroscience of Leadership (Masters Phase I). This is the only program that awards a post graduate certificate in this field. The program is designed for change agents, learning professionals, educators and academics who want to understand the latest science of the brain and how it can improve human and organizational performance. This program connects the fields of leadership development and neuroscience in a science-based, action learning framework. The program will be delivered virtually to meet the needs of working adults. The coursework focuses on the topics of Decision Making & Problem Solving, Emotional Regulation, Collaborating with Others, and Facilitating Change. The foundational coursework in brain science is led by our faculty of neuroscientists, Dr. Dan Radecki., Dr Golnaz Tabibnia & Dr Stephen Thomas. The program also includes guest lecturers who are experts in relevant neuroscience fields. Participants apply their learning of neuroscience in existing work, projects, and programs. These action learning segments may be applied across a variety of realms such as corporations, consulting or coaching practices, public sector practices, community programs and educational settings. The first program commenced in October 2009 with 37 students. Following intakes in the 2010 March and October and the March 2011 all reached capacity and had in excess of 40 students. The first group of students are now submitting their final assignments to the Middlesex assessors, with many from the Oct09 and Mar10 intakes preparing to commence the Masters program in 2011. |
